The New Den | Built in 1993

The Den replaced the intimidating ‘old’ Den and was the first ground opened after the Taylor Report into the Hillsborough disaster. It has a large video screen in one corner and despite the other corners being open it the noise and history of the club creates a hot and feisty atmosphere for visiting teams.

Tickets / Where to sit

Away fans take up the whole North Stand behind the goal and in an unusual twist to most grounds, the Cold Blow Lane Stand has no reserved seats. To sit here it costs £24 for adults, £15 for people aged over 60 and 16 to 21 year olds with a Millwall Supporters Club Membership. Under 16’s can get in for £12 and under 12’s for £7 but they must be bought with a senior or adult ticket. In the Dockers Stand prices are the same for juniors but adults would pay £27 and for seniors it costs £15 for a seat in the lower tier and £17 for a place upstairs. Across the pitch in the West Stand, lower block prices are £28 for adults, £17 for seniors and Supporters Club members and the same as usual for juniors. In the Upper Block, adults pay £30 and seniors £19. Seats in the family stand are the same as for Cold Blow Lane except under 16’s get in for £10 and under 12’s for £6.

Tickets can be bought, online, at the ticket office, by post or over the phone. Call 0207 2319999.

Where to drink

There aren’t many pubs near the Den any they should be avoided by away fans in any case. The best places to drink are at London Bridge before coming to the stadium. The Shipwright Arms on Tooley Street is a favourite. Come out of London Bridge tube station and turn right, walk about 200 yards and it is on the right hand side. Alternatively, the Barrow Boy & Banker on the Borough High Street has a large screen with Sky.

Where to eat

The Shipwright Arms offers some good grub at reasonable prices or to the back of the ground, there are places to get a top-class serving of chicken and chips.

Where to stay

London Tower Bridge Premier Inn offers the best excuse for an overnight stay with good transport links and numerous attractions nearby all for a small price.
