Fulham forward Bryan Ruiz insists he is fit and ready for the Capital One Cup on Tuesday.

The Cottagers face Championship side Leicester City in Round 4 of the competition at the King Power Stadium.

Ruiz, who passed a late fitness test to start against Southampton, has been struggling with a back injury. But the Costa Rica international told Sky Sports that he is ready to face the Foxes, as his side look for a cup victory before facing Manchester United 4 days later:

"I still have some problems with my back and we're working on that," Ruiz said.

"It's getting better - hopefully in the next couple of weeks it will be 100 per cent. We've got two games coming up quickly and it will be a tough week. We want to qualify for the next round of the cup and then take on Manchester United in a good frame of mind."

Fulham suffered their 5th loss of the season against Southampton on Saturday, and the 28-year-old knows that a strong cup run can ease the pressure on boss Martin Jol. The London side haven't made it to the fifth round of the competition since the 2004/05 season, where they were knocked out by eventual winners Chelsea.

But Ruiz is set to face a strong Leicester City side who are flying high in the Sky Bet Championship, and lie just 3 points adrift of table toppers Burnley.
