Juninho’s second-half winner at Highbury gave Middlesbrough a precious 1-0 lead going into the second-leg at the Riverside Stadium.

Boudewijn Zendon doubled Boro’s aggregate lead in the 69th minute to stun the Gunners, but Edu gave them hope of a late comeback on 77 minutes.
