Championship outfit Middlesbrough were close to frustrating Swansea, and taking their quarter-final tie to extra-time. That was until Seb Hines scored an unfortunate own goal, with nine minutes left on the clock. The Boro defender diverted Jonathan De Guzman’s free-kick past Jason Steele and into the net ending all hope for the North East club. Middlesbrough had dispatched Bury, Gillingham, Preston and Sunderland during an impressive campaign.
