In years gone by the League Cup has been graced by some sensational strikes and career defining goals from players in the competition. The strikes on the list are simply sensational, and some of them have the added wonder of being scored against so-called superior sides!

You may want to look up some of these strikes up, as there are some great goals from some wonderfully talented footballers.

I’ve thrown together a list of my top 10 ‘wonder strikes’ in the League Cup, not including goals from this season’s Capital One Cup. There were a lot to choose from! Which goals do you think I should have included?
