Arsenal ace Hector Bellerin is considering infuriating Gooners by switching North London for Manchester, Spanish outlet Don Balon reports.

What's the word?

Arsenal's greatest graduate from the youth academy since a certain Cesc Fabregas, Hector Bellerin could be ready to rile-up Gooners in the same fashion as his compatriot but will cut out the middle man in the process- which in this case is Barcelona.

Don Balon states Bellerin will snub interest from the Spanish giants and is instead considering a move across the Premier League to join Manchester City, as he's a big fan of Pep Guardiola and his style of play.

The circumstances of what could cause Bellerin to call it quits at the Emirates Stadium are not specified but it's likely the future of Arsene Wenger and Arsenal's consistent struggles to compete will have played their part in the 21-year-old's thought process.

If Arsenal were to lose Bellerin, it would certainly be the biggest blow to the side since Ashley Cole, a fellow academy graduate, left the Gunners for Chelsea a decade ago.

Why not Barcelona?

Hector Bellerin left Barcelona's prestigious La Masia academy for Arsenal when he was a teenager and has since been crafted into the mould of a Premier League star, standing as one of the finest in his position throughout the division.

Whilst Barcelona desperately need a right-back, having lost Dani Alves in the summer and seeing a welth of injuries plague their ranks this season, Bellerin would be under pressure on his return to Spain as his signature would not come cheap.

Fabregas struggled to cope with the pressure at the Nou Camp and eventually returned to the Premier League, joining Chelsea, and Bellerin seemingly prefers remaining in English football- although he could still remain at Arsenal.
