Chelsea will raise their interest in Inter Milan ace Ivan Perisic by scouting the Croatian international this weekend, Italian outlet TuttoMercatoWeb reports.

What's the word?

Antonio Conte seems intent to bolster his Chelsea squad this summer, despite a storming campaign in the Premier League, and Inter Milan's Ivan Perisic has emerged as a top-target for the Italian boss as he looks to increase the depth at his disposal ahead of a return to European football.

Perisic has excelled at Inter since moving to the San Siro from Wolfsburg and, despite the Italian side remaining determined to keep the Croatian international at their club, a likely lack of Champions League offerings next season could hand the ball to Chelsea.

With three-and-a-half-years to run on his contract, Chelsea would have to pay a high-sum for Perisic's signature but it's reported Inter will sell for a fee of £29.5m.

Do Chelsea need Perisic?

Chelsea have excelled this season with Eden Hazard, Pedro Rodriguez and Willian all impressing from wide roles, amongst others, but the Blues could certainly do with more depth in this area- especially with Champions League football to contend with next season.

Regular links of an exit for Eden Hazard may also play on Antonio Conte's mind and Perisic would be a decent replacement for the Belgian international, possessing deft ability and a wealth of international experience.
