As reported by The Daily Star, Italian giants AC Milan are hoping to spend big on Everton's star striker Romelu Lukaku this summer.

What's the word?

The Belgian striker appears to be loving life at Goodison Park but his time at the club could be coming to an end if the latest reports are true.

The Star reckons mega-rich AC Milan are ready to launch a 'money-is-no-object bid' for Lukaku this summer, willing to match Everton's £75m valuation of the striker.

The report says that Milan have an eye-watering £140m to spend this summer and see the Everton icon as a big part of their plans.

How important is he?

In his 4th season at Everton, including the one on loan from Chelsea, Lukaku has undoubtedly been the Toffees’ best player for quite a while.

The striker has scored a terrifying 78 goals in 153 appearances and has often won points on his own with his power and pace obliterating opposition defenders.

It seems inevitable that one day the Belgian hitman will leave Goodison Park but if the club can fend off interest for just one more season, he could hit his peak at Everton and propel them to an excellent Premier League season. His value is unlikely to deteriorate in it will take for them to make their ambitions a reality.
