As reported by the BBC, West Ham, Middlesbrough and Burnley are set to battle it out for the signature of Robert Snodgrass from Hull City this January.
What's the story?
We discussed last week that Burnley were in the market for Robert Snodgrass, but they now face competition to land there man with two more clubs joining the fray.
The BBC reckon that both West Ham and Middlesbrough have put in bids to rival Burnley's latest offer of around £10m for the attacking midfielder.
Hull boss Marcos Silva is said to be reluctant to lose his man but with just 18 months left on his contract and a number of clubs interested into eight figures, he may not have the option of the Scotland international for long.
Why are clubs so interested?
Robert Snodgrass is one of the in-form players in the Premier League this season, certainly in the bottom half of the table.
The Scotland international has scored a massive nine goals for his club this season, assisting a further three. That’s exceptional when you consider Hull’s 18th position in the league. The 29-year old has scored over half of their league goals total.
It’s that kind of firepower that would be a huge boost to the clubs reported to have bid for his services. That's especially true for Middlesbrough, who would love the opportunity to take one of their relegation rivals' key players.
£10m is a bargain for his level of Premier League contribution and it's no surprise that he is attracting interest from a number of clubs.
