As reported by The Daily Mail, three Premier League clubs have recently sent scouts to track the progress of Ludogorets forward Jonathan Cafu.

What's the story?

After a number of impressive performances in Europe this season, Cafu is starting to attract the attention of teams in the English top-flight.

The Mail reckon Everton, West Ham and Leicester are all interested in the Brazilian forward, taking the opportunity to check on current form when Bulgarian champions Ludogorets took on Copenhagen in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday.

The Foxes are thought to be the most interested, enquiring about the attacker in January before opting not to pursue the deal further according to The Mail. Is the 25 year old good enough to make an impact on the Premier League?

If someone does decide to move for him, they'll have to invest a fair whack of money with Ludogorets valuing him at at £12m.

Can he make the step up?

Cafu has shown he has plenty about him with his performances for Ludogorets but playing for the likes of Everton and West Ham week-to-week is a big step up from the Bulgarian First League.

However, the striker has scored 10 goals this season including two in the group stages of the Champions League. You may remember him from his starring role against Arsenal in Bulgaria where he scored one and assisted another in a 3-2 defeat to Wenger's men.

Whether that kind of performance is enough for Premier League clubs to commit remains to be seen but it's clear there's an interest in him beyond one match against Arsenal, given the amount of clubs reportedly attending games to watch him.
