West Ham United have joined the chase for Paris Saint-Germain full-back Fode Ballo-Toure with the youngster set to be available on a free transfer this summer, Madein Foot reports.

What's the word?

With £6m summer signing Arthur Masuaku set to leave East London in the summer following a disappointing maiden campaign in English football, West Ham are keen to bolster their options at full-back and have joined the chase for a highly-rated French youngster.

20-year-old Fode Ballo-Toure has excelled for Paris Saint-Germain's youth ranks, being part of the side that were finalists in the U19 Youth League last season, but the full-back's time with the French champions is due to come to a close this summer.

Ballo-Toure sees his current deal at the Parc des Princes expire this summer and no progress has been made regarding a renewal, with Unai Emery's side set to wave goodbye to the player this summer- opening the door for West Ham to make a swoop.

However, Slaven Bilic's side face a battle to land his services.

Who's also keen?

Madein Foot reports that interest in Ballo-Toure is extremely high, with West Ham's Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool and Everton all monitoring the situation, whilst there is also interest from Championship trio Bristol City, Brighton & Hove Albion and Aston Villa.

On top of that, the Hammers will hand to fend-off interest from French sides come the end of the season, as Lille are reported to be leading the chase for Ballo-Toure's services whilst there is also interest from OGC Nice and Rennes.

With a number of the interested parties likely being able to offer European football next term, West Ham may face a daunting task to win the race for Ballo-Toure but they would be able to offer first-team opportunities, which may be decisive.
