Lowe applauds
the Spurs chairman for making a stand and feels that other clubs should follow
suit.
I don't think there was a football supporter around
who didn't echo the sentiments of Daniel Levy last night. The callus way in
which football clubs continue to ride roughshod over rules and regulations is
getting beyond a joke and you only hope the FA or Premier League make a stand and
make an example of these teams - then who knows, the game might just get some
sort of normality return.

Lowe looks at the distribution
of funds in European competition and sees why the likes of Everton and Spurs are fighting to bridge the gap.
If anyone ever needed proof that a gulf exists between the top
four and the Premier League, then this is surely it. Staggering findings, reported on
Everton's club website & BBC, shows UEFA's distribution of wealth for the European
competitions last season. To say it seems unfair is something of an
understatement.
Football
FanCast columnist Davis Lowe is looking forward to the showdown between Man
United's Cristiano Ronaldo and Chelsea's Petr Cech and wonders who will have
the bragging rights come 7pm tonight.
If there is one thing you can say about Euro 2008 is that it
has hardly lived up to its billing. In fairness it has been somewhat of a drab
affair, where negativity has been king and skill has been lacking, but as D'ream
once proclaimed, "things can only get better".
Football FanCast columnist Davis Lowe reacts to the news that Spurs are lining up a move for Richard Dunne and feels that it will prove money very well spent, should the deal be confirmed.
If there is one thing that Spurs fans are only too aware of is
that their backline is simply not good enough. With Ledley King forever struggling
to find fitness, Kaboul failing to adapt and the worrying loss of form of
Michael Dawson, you can forgive Juande Ramos for looking to bring in an
established centre half to complement the impressive Jonathon Woodgate.
Football FanCast columnist Davis Lowe feels that
Sir Alex is well in his right to make a complaint to FIFA and feels that
suitable sanctions need to be put in place to act as a future deterrent.
It is a disease that has spread into
the modern game and one that is continually condoned. The tapping up of players
is now rife within Europe and has become common practice on our shores. It is
something that has to stop and UEFA have to act now in order to prevent the
transfer system becoming an absolute farce.
