After another two points dropped at Vicarage Road on Tuesday night, and with Bristol City and Stoke City next in line for the Hornets, Watford FanCast PodJockey Neil Kelly suggests a rather radical, yet perhaps logical solution to the Golden Boys' problems in front of goal.

Dan Shittu the centre back and Dan Shittu the centre forward, both are sights we have become accustomed to this season, so is it time for the final twelve games that the big man made the transition permanently to get us to the Premier League.  Is it a viable option, an answer to all our prayers, or just plain stupid?

Watford PodJockey Neil Kelly looks back at Tommy Mooney's career at Vicarage Rd and invites all Hornet fans to listen to the first part of this exclusive interview on the Watford FanCast.

The challenge posed to Matt, Craig and myself at the Watford Football FanCast team was to try and get a Watford legend on the show.  One who Watford fans would want to listen too and one who we have always wanted to pose questions to, but never had the chance, until now.  It was a short discussion and it wasn't long before the first name that sprung to all of our minds was Tommy Mooney.  Tommy's still plying his trade in the lower leagues, and is still banging the goals in for Walsall.  The three of us had grown up watching teams of the 90's and Mooney was an important player for The Golden Boys, an idol you could say for ourselves and many others.

Despite being 3rd in the Championship at current, the Hornets still haven't found top form. But surely they should be happy with their current league position bearing in mind the progress the club has recently made? Apparently not. Why not? Watford PodJockey Neil Kelly searches for the answers and puts his thoughts forward on the relatively bemusing Watford faithful.

Ever since I've supported Watford the Golden Boys have had a decent support for a club of our size, and the atmosphere at games has generally been quite good.  Having said that, certain aspects of our support this season have left me frustrated, confused and disillusioned at times; and here's why.

MarlonWatford PodJockey Neil Kelly took a day off work to try and decipher why Marlon King has left the Hornets for Craven Cottage. Where's the other £55 million he asks? Whose decision was it to sell our best player? And what does the rest of the season and beyond hold for a Watford team minus the ‘King of Vicarage Road'? The fans want answers - on and off the pitch.

So it's been a busy day of transfer activity down at the Vic with young defender Jordan Parkes off to toughen himself up at League One Brentford and John-Joe O Toole signing a new contract at the club. Both would be relatively big stories on any other day at Watford, but not today. Today we decided to sell our leading scorer and arguably best player to a struggling Premier League team for a measly £5 million. An astute piece of business mathematicians and bankers amongst us debate after signing him for a bargain £500,000 a few seasons back.

By the time Watford’s relegation was confirmed weeks before the season had ended, fans had already started to look towards the delights of Championship football once again.  For many the end of the season could not come soon enough as relegation had seemed almost inevitable since before christmas of last year.  With Watford’s fate already decided, the boys put in a couple of good performances against Reading and Sheffield United away and held their own against Newcastle in the final game of the season. This renewed hope for a quick
