It’s just over one week until the 2014 World Cup in Brazil kicks off and 10 days until Roy Hodgson’s England begin their campaign.

England start against Italy a week Saturday in Manaus, before heading to Sao Paulo and Belo Horizonte to face Uruguay and Costa Rica respectively.

If the Three Lions can make it out of the group they’ll then head onto Recife or Rio de Janeiro, depending on whether they finish first or second in Group D, and it would be a bit presumptuous to look any further forward.

If England do make it to the quarter finals or further, much of the success will be down to Liverpool, with Glen Johnson, Steven Gerrard, Jordan Henderson, Raheem Sterling and Daniel Sturridge all set to start.

Adam Lallana could even be a Liverpool player following the World Cup, thus making up more than half of the starting eleven.
