Football FanCast is proud to present you with our latest portal dedicated to the true Bournemouth fans across the globe. If you’re looking for a place filled with all the things Cherries, we’re happy to inform you that you’ve successfully found it.

And while the 2019/20 season has definitely been marked with some big spending from the Cherries, the 2018/19 record is still untouched to this date. The signing of Jefferson Lerma from Levante in August 2018 for a fee of £25.2m still holds strong against the new wave of spending.
Lerma’s acquisition broke the old record which was held by the £20.5m signing of Nathan Ake from Chelsea a season prior to that. Interestingly enough, Arnaut Danjuma, Philip Billing and Lloyd Kelly are the freshest arrivals and slot into their fourth, sixth and eighth most expensive signings respectively.
There have been plenty of Bournemouth legends at the club that have been transferred from abroad, either permanently or through loan deals. From the likes of Wade Elliott, who signed from a non-league team only to become one of their most influential wingers ever, to Jermain Defore who terrorised the opposition with ease.
Of the more recent crop of players, Lerma definitely qualifies simply by being their most expensive purchase ever and so do Ake and Dominic Solanke for the same reasons respectively.
Of course, we could even put Howe himself in the group of influential players despite him climbing up the ranks of the Cherries’ academy. Even though he is a manager now, and a good one at that, we shouldn’t forget that he was also quite good as a player for Bournemouth as well.
