Michael Ball has tipped Arsenal to beat London rivals West Ham United to the signing of Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara.

Kamara has become a man in demand after playing a key role as Rangers ended a decade-long wait to get their hands on the Scottish Premiership crown last season.

The Finland international, who played every minute of his country's fixtures at Euro 2020, made 51 appearances as the Gers enjoyed a successful campaign under boss Steven Gerrard.

David Moyes has been keen to bolster his West Ham squad after a club record-breaking Premier League points tally was enough to seal Europa League football in the upcoming season.

The Hammers have been heavily linked with Kamara all summer and reportedly made an enquiry last month.

However, Arsenal have also entered the race to sign the 25-year-old after being frustrated in their efforts to secure other targets.

Kamara made one senior appearance for the Gunners in the early stages of his career and ex-Rangers left-back Ball believes the midfielder would favour a return to the Emirates Stadium over a switch to West Ham.

Speaking exclusively to Football FanCast, he said: "If the choice is between West Ham and Arsenal, surely you would be going to Arsenal over West Ham.

"But then it's all about the manager's relationship with him when he talks. It's about game time as well because you don't want to be sitting on the bench a lot."
