Bayern Munich set to use family affairs to sign Luis Suarez

Liverpool's Luis Suarez

Bayern Munich are set to be handed a massive boost in their attempts to sign Liverpool striker Luis Suarez in the summer, according to the Daily Mail.

The German club have identified Suarez as a key transfer target for when Pep Guardiola takes charge of the Bavarian club at the end of the season, and may be able to use family connections to sign the Uruguayan.

Suarez’s agent is Pere Guardiola, brother of Pep. With Pere Guardiola advising Suarez on his future, it may not be long before the brother’s team up to bring Suarez to Munich.

But Serie A champions Juventus have also confirmed their intention to sign the £40million rated forward, and won’t give up easily in the fight for his signature. With prize money for a Champions League semi-final place estimated at £40million, executives at the club have calculated that they need to reach the last four to have a realistic chance of financing a deal.

Over at Bayern, Pep Guardiola has been promised a huge transfer kitty for when the former Barcelona manager takes charge, with Suarez being top of his wish list.

Juventus and Bayern will go head to head on the pitch in the Champions League quarter-finals next Tuesday, with the winner earning a serious boost in their bid to lure Suarez to their club.
