The transfer saga regarding Jadon Sancho is seemingly not over.

We've been hearing about his potential departure for quite a while now and the latest update coming from German publication Bild states that Borussia Dortmund have no intention of selling the youngster in January and want to keep him around.

This comes as somewhat of a surprise considering that their relationship with the player was all but broken.

Sancho was late for a team meeting before the Champions League clash against Barcelona, as the same source reports, and he ended up starting the game on the bench.

The Independent also recently came out with a story claiming the Germans were finally ready to cash in on the £100m-rated 19-year-old forward and this change of stance could spell trouble for the club.

Sancho's situation is highly reminiscent of Ousmane Dembele's, who ended up leaving to Barcelona, but not before causing all sorts of trouble, missing training and practically forcing his club's hand to finally sell him.

Dortmund now risk the same thing happening with Sancho, especially if their relationship really is not as good as it should be.

Of course, that new update from Bild won't really be good news for Manchester United, who believe they are in pole position to land the young starlet in the near future.

Even though Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men are fresh from a big victory over Jose Mourinho's Tottenham Hotspur and Pep Guardiola's Manchester City, the team is still in need of some refreshment and quality reinforcements.

Sancho, despite a rather weird 2019/20 campaign so far, has still managed to bag seven goals and nine assists in a total of 19 games played across all competitions for his club.

It's easy to see why Borussia Dortmund would want him to stay but when everything is said and done, it could only end up harming both sides.

Let's see what they decide.
