Football Manager 2019 was released on November 2nd this year, and here at Football FanCast we've delved into the depths of the most detailed version of the game ever to find some of the best wonderkids available on your Borussia Dortmund save.

Whether those youngsters are already described by the media as wonderkids, or if they need a helping hand to reach their potential, bringing a player from the youth team and moulding him into a first-team star has to be one of the most satisfying achievements in FM.

In FM19, managers can be even more involved with this development thanks to the brand new training schedule, meaning it will be no longer something that you palm off to your poor assistant.

For the first time ever, this year's game also has a fully licensed Bundesliga, meaning that in your Dortmund save you can take on Bavarian giants Bayern Munich and 35 other German teams with fully accurate kits and logos and player faces.

Isak actually came through the ranks at Swedish side AIK, making a goalscoring debut at the age of just 16 before his €10m move to Dortmund in January 2017. The 19-year-old is a Swedish international, with two caps and one goal from friendly matches against the Ivory Coast and Slovakia last year. Develop him well and he could become a top striker.

Despite only recently celebrating his 20th birthday in real life, Pulisic is now pretty much a guaranteed starter for Dortmund whilst also carrying the hopes of the United States national team on his young shoulders. If you can avoid the European elite coming in to poach him then you've got a serious player on your hands.

Zagadou is an absolute gem of a centre-back. The French U20 international was with the Paris Saint-Germain academy from the age of 12 up until his move to Dortmund two days after his 18th birthday. At 6ft 5in, Zagadou has the physical attributes to be a top defender, whilst also having ball-playing traits and an impressive 14 rating for technique.

Burnic is an extremely versatile youngster who made his debut for the club under Thomas Tuchel in October 2016. Predominantly a defensive midfielder, the German can play almost anywhere through the middle or on the left with reasonable comfort.

Fans of the Championship might be familiar with Passlack, who signed for Norwich on a season-long loan deal in the 2018 summer transfer window. The 20-year-old is an attacking right-back can also play in midfield, but you'll have to wait until your second season to be able to work him into the first-team.

Bruun Larsen was another player developed in a foreign academy who Dortmund recruited in his later teenage years. The German giants signed the now 20-year-old from Danish club Lyngby in 2015, and after spending the second half of last season on loan at VfB Stuttgart he has become somewhat of a regular in the side this season.

Sancho is the name on every England fan's lips at the moment. The 18-year-old took a huge leap of faith when leaving Manchester City for the Bundesliga in the summer of 2017, but it has certainly paid off for him. The London-born youngster recently made his Three Lions debut and is a regular fixture in the Dortmund side - he also rightly has the wonderkid moniker on FM19.

Dortmund are one of the lucky sides to have a promising young goalkeeper in their youth ranks on the game. Unbehaun is a Germany U17 international and has some impressive stats for such a young age. Develop him well and he could become the club's number one for years to come.

Pherai is currently a member of Dortmund's U19 squad having been promoted from the U17 Bundesliga winning side of last season. The Dutch youngster is an attacking midfielder, described as a hot prospect thanks in part surely to his 15 ratings for technique and vision. Certainly one to keep an eye on.

Last but certainly not least, midfielder Sergio Gomez has the attributes to become a huge player for Dortmund. The now 18-year-old came through Barcelona's academy, making two appearances for the B team before signing for Dortmund in January this year. With 17 technique and 16 vision, Gomez could certainly be a top midfielder in the future.
