Celtic have rightly earned plaudits for their impressive recruitment under manager Ange Postecoglou in recent times, with the 57-year-old having overseen a number of astute additions who have swiftly settled at Parkhead in recent times.

As good as those incomings have been, however, there will likely be concern over a handful of outgoings who have left the Old Firm outfit in recent times, with the champions having seen their promising youth talent poached by Premier League clubs south of the border.

The last 12 months has seen both Leo Hjelde and Rory Mahady make moves to Leeds United, although arguably the biggest loss has been that of teenage forward Ben Doak, with the highly-rated prospect joining Liverpool for a reported fee of around £600k back in March.

The young Scot had opted for pastures new despite having already enjoyed a taste of senior action under Postecoglou last term at the tender age of just 16 after featuring twice in the league, including as a late substitute in the derby victory over bitter rivals Rangers back in February.

While that was a marker of how highly regarded the winger was by the Scottish giants, the player himself has since admitted he was tempted to leave as a result of the "top-level" facilities and standards on show at the Merseyside outfit.

That move already looks to be paying off for the "exciting" talent - as dubbed by Scotland youth coach Scott Gemmill - as he has since sparkled in England thus far, with three goals and three assists to his name thus far in just six games for the Reds at youth level.

That "seriously impressive" form, as described by journalist Chris Stonadge, has also been replicated on the international stage, with Doak netting on debut for Scotland's U21 side earlier this week, becoming the youngest player ever to score for the country at that age group.

The expectation is that the teen superstar will only go from strength to strength in his new surroundings as the years progress, having revealed he is looking forward to learning off the stellar cast of talent in Jurgen Klopp's side at first-team level, including that of talisman Mohamed Salah.

Just a matter of months after leaving Celtic Park, the explosive ace has already left his former club rueing their failure to keep him in Glasgow.
