Celtic should cut ties with wantaway striker Odsonne Edouard before the transfer window slams shut, according to The Celtic Way reporter Anthony Haggerty.
Edouard joined the Scottish Premiership title contenders for a club-record £9million fee from Paris Saint-Germain three years ago, having already impressed during a loan spell in Glasgow.
But the striker has been looking to leave Parkhead for some time, with the striker even changing agents earlier this year in the hope of completing a move.
Brighton & Hove Albion, who reportedly lodged an £18million bid earlier this month, are also hoping to do business after seeing Edouard enter the final year of his Celtic contract.
He told Football FanCast: “This is the right time to cut ties with Odsonne Edouard. I think he feels his talent deserves a better stage.
“A lot of Celtic supporters have criticised him and said he’s gone through the motions. He was still the top scorer last season, so he did something right.
“I think there’s a mutual parting of the ways here for Edouard. His shelf life at Celtic has come to a natural end.”
