Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou has shared a teasing claim regarding the Parkhead club's immediate transfer business.

What's the news?

Speaking after seeing his side draw 2-2 against Championship club, Blackburn Rovers, in their latest pre-season game (via Daily Record), the 56-year-old had this to say on the matter.

"We’re definitely going to add a couple of players. We’re working hard on that and would expect to do it in the next seven days. We’ve had to be patient, that was more important than rushing. I’m confident we’re close to the end point in bringing in a couple that will help."

Celtic supporters will be buzzing

So far in this latest summer transfer window, the Hoops have secured permanent deals for the likes of Jota, Daizen Maeda and Cameron Carter-Vickers following their loan spells at the club last season.

They have also brought in new faces such as Benjamin Siegrist and Alexandro Bernabei to add some strength and depth to the squad.

In addition to bringing new players in, the Bhoys have also seen some big-name figures make moves away from the club such as Tom Rogic, Nir Bitton, Ismaila Soro and Karamoko Dembele among others.

Bearing in mind what Postecoglou has said, it seems as though the next name through the door at Celtic will be Aaron Mooy, with a recent Twitter post from journalist, Mike McGrath, claiming the club are set to sign the midfielder on a free transfer.

With that in mind, it seems as though Postecoglou has been true to his word in terms of seeing a new player join the club in the next few days or so.

This, therefore, should have plenty of Celtic fans delighted at the prospect of seeing more players make moves to Parkhead before the summer transfer window closes.

In terms of what other sort of player the club should look to bring in, despite potentially having Mooy through the door, adding another midfield figure in that can replace the likes of Rogic, Bitton and Soro would be a smart move for the Bhoys.

Furthermore, with current Hoops defender, Christopher Jullien, being linked with a move away from the club in recent weeks, a new defender could be an ideal addition to the squad should the Frenchman find himself leaving Glasgow this summer.
