Celtic had to get used to life without Scott Brown last season after the veteran midfielder brought an end to his 14 years at Parkhead following the completion of the 2020/21 campaign.

Now that their latest SPFL season has kicked off, the Bhoys will be looking to carry on without another midfielder in their ranks following a significant period at Parkhead - Tom Rogic.

After making 272 appearances for the Hoops across all competitions in which he scored 46 goals, provided 49 assists and won numerous trophies, the midfield waved goodbye to the club after many years of service.

With there still being some weeks left before the summer transfer window closes, the Hoops could use this time to bring in a suitable long-term replacement for the Australian.

One figure that the Scottish champions have been linked with that could be an ideal candidate for this position is Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Edouard Michut.

At the age of 19, the midfielder has eight senior appearances under his belt for the French giants, which shows just how highly rated he is there to be getting game time when they have midfield figures such as Marco Verratti, Leandro Paredes and Georginio Wijnaldum in their ranks.

In those appearances, the teenager has been able to grab one assist for the French side which came during their 1-1 draw against Olympique Lyon last season, showing the attacking prowess he has.

Bearing in mind how Rogic had his own usefulness in front of goal, Michut could well grow into a player that can be a regular goal threat for his side, whoever that may be, in the same way that the former Hoops figure was for so long in Glasgow.

Described as a "highly technical and creative playmaker" by football talent scout, Jacek Kulig, this further highlights the similarities between him and Rogic as he has a higher rating for his creativity (62) on the pitch than any other attribute listed by SofaScore.

Taking all of this into account, securing a deal for the PSG starlet, who is currently valued around the £2m mark, would be the ideal way for Ange Postecoglou to land a suitable long-term replacement for Rogic.
