Aston Villa supporters are not too happy with reports that Ross McCormack could leave the club on loan, as they would rather he was sold permanently.

The striker has had a difficult time at the Midlands club over the past year, and The Mirror claims that Villa are struggling to offload him.

The publication states that McCormack's reputation is not doing him any favours, in particular his fallout with manager Steve Bruce.

It is believed that the Villa boss was frustrated with his player's fitness and attitude.

On one occasion, McCormack's excuse for missing training was that the electric gates at his home had broken and he could not get out.

The striker scored three goals in 20 Championship appearances for Villa last season and he spent the second half of the campaign on loan at Nottingham Forest, where he netted once in the league.

The Daily Mail claims that Sunderland and Derby County are interested in taking McCormack on loan.

That news has not pleased the fans, with many wanting the striker to leave for good.
