Gabriel Agbonlahor has been at Aston Villa for his entire career, but he has been edged out of the team over the last few seasons.
The forward has rarely been used this season given that he has made just two starts in the Championship.
In total, Agbonlahor has featured six times in the league, scoring once and creating another during that time.
Ahead of this weekend’s Second City derby against Birmingham City at Villa Park, questions have been asked about Agbonlahor’s possible inclusion.
The attacking player has not featured since Villa’s 2-2 draw with Sheffield United on December 23, but he has a good record against the Blues.
The 31-year-old has scored four times in his last seven appearances against Birmingham, but he was unable to make an impact in this season’s goalless draw at St Andrew’s as he was not in the squad.
Some Villa fans are open to giving Agbonlahor a chance this weekend, but the majority are not so keen.
Never deserves it, be in for 20 mins then injured again leave it as it is this squad doesn’t need him and a few other waste of times now👎

Oh come on, seriously you can't be considering giving gabby a shot in the team. We're on a superb run and he is a spent force. He scored the winner last season fair enough but we've got a lot more now that can do better.

Whats that? 2 goals in the last 2 seasons?

LOL IT WAS INEVITABLE

Absolute nonsense to give Gabby a run-in or even a place on the bench. Shouldn’t be anywhere near AVFC!
