Aston Villa fans hail Anwar El Ghazi

Aston Villa stretched their unbeaten run in the Championship to six matches with a 2-2 draw against West Bromwich Albion on Friday night.

Villa actually led 2-1 in the final moments of the clash at the Hawthorns, but Jay Rodriguez scored in the first minute of added time for 2-2.

Rodriguez clearly handled the ball into the back of the net, but it stood, and Villa were denied a huge three points at the death.

There were a number of positives on the night, however, namely the performance of Anwar El Ghazi.

The 23-year-old, who is on loan at Villa from Lille, has struggled for consistency this season.

El Ghazi’s deflected strike sent Villa ahead against West Brom, however, before he netted a wonderful second just before the hour mark.

The Villa fans absolutely loved what they saw from the 6ft 2in attacker on the night, with many taking to social media to praise his performance.
