Aston Villa captain John Terry confirmed on his official Instagram account after the 2-1 defeat to Sheffield on Saturday that he had broken his fifth metatarsal in his right foot, and Villa fans are hugely concerned.

Despite suffering their first home defeat of the season against the Owls, the Villans are still in sixth and right in the promotion mix going into the international break.
However, they lost Terry in the 21st minute of the Championship clash and he is likely to be missing for a minimum of around six weeks, which would allow him to return just before the busy festive period.
Christopher Samba replaced him in the backline against Wednesday but there are few options beyond that, with the frozen out Tommy Elphick potentially getting a look in and Mile Jedinak another one who could fill in if needed.
Aston Villa supporters were quick to have their say on the injury news via social media, and while one described it as “really, really bad”, another simply said they were “gutted”.
Here is just a selection of the Twitter reaction…
Knew it was going to come eventually. A loss and JT being injured….. time to cry into my pillow I think…
