Aston Villa might well move for a new centre-back before the end of August after all.
The Villa fans have had to watch Mile Jedinak to play out of position over the last few weeks, and have been desperate for a new centre-back to arrive.
According to the Daily Mail, Villa have made an offer to sign Harold Moukoudi on loan from Le Havre before the end of the month.
Moukoudi was strongly linked with a move to West Ham United during the summer transfer window, and was also said to be interesting Fulham before the market closed.
Moukoudi is a 6ft 3in central defender, and has been capped at Under-20 level by France.
It would be some coup by Villa when considering the clubs that have been linked with the defender, and it will be very interesting to see whether the Championship outfit can complete a deal before the end of August.
The Villa fans have been offering their views on the speculation surrounding the 20-year-old, and a selection of the Twitter reaction can be seen below:

He was on the bench for Le Harve last night in the cup. He plays every week for them in the league doubt they would let him go.
