Aston Villa have agreed to sign goalkeeper Lovre Kalinic on a four-and-a-half-year deal.
Indeed, Kalinic will move to Villa Park from Belgian side Genk at the start of 2019.
The 28-year-old is a 16-time Croatia international, and represented his country at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
It is not exactly breaking news that Villa wanted to sign a new stopper, with summer arrival Orjan Nyland failing to convince between the sticks.
Kalinic’s arrival is huge for Villa, quite literally, with the goalkeeper standing at 6ft 7in.
The Villa supporters are certainly not disappointed that Kalinic will be their new number one, however, with many taking to social media to reveal their delight.
Kalinic will become Dean Smith’s first signing since taking charge of Villa in October.
