Aston Villa owner Tony Xia has a notable connection with the fans, which is helped along by the fact that he regularly interacts with them on Twitter.
A lot of club owners keep themselves at a distance, but Xia, who took over at the Midlands outfit in June 2016, gets involved, particularly when it comes to supporters.
Recently, the Chinese businessman revived his initiative that allows one lucky fan to sit with him to watch one of the games.
On Sunday, though, he travelled with Villa to watch them take on Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road, and the team ended up sealing a 2-1 victory.
It was the perfect way for the Villans to bounce back from a 2-1 loss to Sheffield Wednesday prior to the international break and as it stands, the club are fifth in the Championship table, seven points adrift of the automatic promotion spots.
From the start of the season, it has been clear that manager Steve Bruce’s priority is to get the club back to the Premier League.
At the moment, the team are in contention to do so, and now Xia has promised to fans that he will celebrate with the away following if they secure promotion on the final day of the campaign at Millwall.
I can promise will do this.
