The agent of Christian Benteke has claimed that the player will not push for a move away from Aston Villa in the summer.
The 22-year-old Belgium international striker has been a massive success since his £7million move to Villa Park from Genk on transfer deadline day last August, with 17 goals already in the bag.
And, with several top Premier League clubs thought to be waiting to pounce for Benteke at the end of the season, Benteke’s agent has spoken out to insist that he will not try and depart in the summer.
Eris Kismet told the Sunday Mirror: “I keep hearing that Christian dreams of playing for different clubs.
“But why dream when he is living a fantastic reality at Aston Villa? He is certainly not thinking about leaving.
“It is always impossible to predict the future, but at the moment I am 99 per cent certain Christian will start next season with Aston Villa in the Premier League.
“Paul Lambert, the club and the fans have all been very good to Christian and that means a lot to him.”
Villa could be forced to sell if they are relegated though, as they go into Sunday’s home game against Liverpool occupying the third and final relegation place on goal difference behind Wigan.
