According to The Sun, Aston Villa and Leeds United are currently both in pursuit of a £4m January deal for outcast Newcastle United goalkeeper Karl Darlow.
Darlow is no longer the Magpies’ No. 1 shot-stopper since the arrival of Martin Dubravka. Now, it looks as though the 28-year-old must seek pastures new if he is to get back to playing week in, week out.

The Villans’ boss, Dean Smith, may be on the look out for a new ‘keeper to challenge Orjan Nyland for the No.1 spot. With an apparent price tag of just £4m, Darlow represents an affordable option for Smith to bring to Villa Park in the winter window.
However, with the likes of Tom Heaton and Fraser Forster also struggling to get game time with their current Premier League clubs Burnley and Southampton respectively, there may be more attractive options out there for Smith to explore.
What do you think, Villa fans, would you be happy to see Darlow at Villa Park?
