Most football fans have very little interest in the less prestigious domestic cup competitions.
For Barnsley, their main focus is trying to achieve promotion to the Championship.
At the moment, Daniel Stendel’s side sit fourth in League One, seven points adrift of leaders Portsmouth after 16 games.
In midweek, the Tykes managed to reach the knockout rounds of the Checkatrade Trophy thanks to a 2-1 victory over Bradford City.
George Moncur scored both goals to send the club into the last 32, but not every fan was delighted with the progress.
On Twitter, some supporters admitted that they could not care less about the achievement as it does nothing to affect their league campaign.

Excellent we’ve won another reserve team game and Moncur’s finally found his level, just keep him there and out of the first team, please DS.

I’ll never get why it’s dearer on the day?? Why not just keep it the same, I don’t get the luxury of knowing if I can or can’t go until the last minute but there’s no way I’d pay £10 to watch that tonight

League > Cup

Barnsley have not lost a game at home all season so far, and they are currently on a decent unbeaten run of five games in all competitions.
In the league, they recently responded to back-to-back defeats by overcoming Bristol Rovers and Southend United.
