Birmingham fans in awe of Adams after nomination for EFL award

Birmingham supporters haven’t had too many reasons to be happy in recent weeks. The club received a host of bad press after a fan ran on the pitch and punched Jack Grealish whilst they have also been deducted points for a breach of spending.

However, the announcement that Che Adams is up for the Championship Player of the Season award has finally given fans something to shout about.

The striker has easily been one of the brightest sparks in the Championship this campaign and as such, supporters of the Blues have been praising their forward after the news was broken. One individual chose to call him the best striker in the league whilst others thanked him for his contribution.

But some of the St Andrew’s faithful were quick to realise that as a result of his good performances he could leave the club.

The 22-year-old has enjoyed a breakthrough term with the Midlands club, scoring 21 in 38 Championship appearances. It’s a tally that currently sees him sat third among the top scorers, behind Teemu Pukki and Billy Sharp who have been nominated for the same award.

Here’s what Birmingham fans have been saying about their number nine.
