Actor and Small Heath-born David Harewood impressed and saved two penalties after taking his place between the sticks at Soccer Aid 2018 at Old Trafford on Sunday night, and Birmingham City fans have urged Garry Monk to sign him up amid their current goalkeeping situation.

The Blues may well find themselves without a senior stopper with both David Stockdale and Tomasz Kuszczak looking likely to leave the club in the next few weeks, and one of Monk's transfer priorities will surely be to find a new number one if that does happen.

The 6ft 1in tall Harewood, best known for his roles in Homeland and Supergirl, certainly impressed at the Theatre of Dreams, with his two penalty saves proving to be the highlight.

Birmingham fans were quick to take to social media to give their thoughts on his display, and while one said "we've found our new keeper", another said "get @DavidHarewood signed up".
