On Wednesday, Birmingham City revealed that goalkeeper Zach Jeacock had been offered a three-year professional contract.
The 17-year-old has recently been turning out for Birmingham’s Under-23 side, but is currently on the sidelines with an ankle injury.
Jeacock took to social media in the aftermath of the announcement to reveal his delight.
And that led to a number of Birmingham fans paying tribute to the teenager.
It has been a tough period of the season for Garry Monk’s side, who have lost each of their last four Championship matches to slip down to 13th position in the table.
The 1-0 home defeat to Aston Villa on March 10 was followed by back-to-back losses to Millwall and Preston North End.
The Blues are already looking forward, however, and have secured the future of a player who could go on to become a first-team star in the coming years.
