A slight majority of the Birmingham fans that answered our recent poll want to see Garry Monk leave Spanish winger Jota on the bench for the visit of Bristol City on Saturday.

The 27-year-old has missed the last three games through injury, but after the defeat to local rivals Aston Villa, Garry Monk's side went on to beat Millwall 2-0 and Preston North End 3-0 in his absence.

The Blues were good value for both of those wins, as Bournemouth loanee Connor Mahoney deputised on the right-hand side of a four man midfield, and it would seem as though fans of the club are keen for Monk to keep his winning starting XI intact, with 59 per cent saying they wanted to see Jota on the bench despite his return from injury.

The former Brentford winger has scored one goal and provided five assists in 17 Championship appearances so far this season, but he may have to wait to get back into Monk's side given the recent results.
