According to a recent Football FanCast poll, the majority of Birmingham fans would not support manager Garry Monk if he was to make a loan move for Liverpool youngster Adam Lewis in January.

The Blues endured a difficult summer as they were placed under a transfer embargo after it was revealed that they had recorded a loss of approximately £46m in the period between 2015/16 and 2017/18, breaking the FFP rules for spending.

This embargo was eventually lifted and Monk was able to sign a maximum of five players that came with no fee, but the former Swansea manager has been left with just one recognised left-back in Kristian Pedersen.

However, the Dane has been performing well and only 41 per cent of the fans that answered our poll wanted Monk to sign Lewis as cover. The 18-year-old full-back is highly regarded at Anfield and Goal recently reported that he is set to become Andrew Robertson's back-up when Alberto Moreno leaves at the end of this season.

That was clearly not enough for Birmingham fans though as many would clearly prefer any money available to be spent elsewhere. Check out the full results of our poll below.
