Cardiff City confirmed in the final hours of deadline day that Lee Peltier has joined Championship high-flyers West Bromwich Albion.
In the short statement provided by the club, they detail that the defender has left the Bluebirds by “mutual agreement”.
It is safe to say that fans are far from impressed by the fact that this is how their transfer window has ended.
#CardiffCity can confirm @Pelts_86 has departed & joined @WBA.
Lee made 159 league appearances across five seasons at the Club.

Many fans have been thanking Peltier for the contribution he has made to their club, which is considerable as he went on to play a total of 163 games for them.
Even this season, Peltier has been at the forefront for Cardiff, starting 24 Championship matches and coming off the bench once.
One fan declared that they are “gutted” to see him go, while another has stated that it was a “poor decision” made by the club to let this happen.
good luck @Pelts_86. Poor decision to not offer a new contract

@Pelts_86 , gutted to see you go, one of only a few to wear they’re heart on they’re sleeve!! True bluebird, all the best for the future

All the best @Pelts_86 for the future and thank you for your contribution.
Look forward to hearing the clubs reason for letting you go. Bizarre to say the least especially as you’ve been first choice.

There were various other comments made about the club’s decision making, which were far more damning.
One fan stated that the “club is an embarrassment”, while one declared that they are “rapidly destroying the unity built by Warnock day by day”.
The Bluebirds brought in Dion Sanderson and Albert Adomah on Deadline Day, but it seems as though that still doesn’t make up for the fact that Peltier has been allowed to leave.
Club is an embarrassment. Thanks for everything @Pelts_86.

State of us

By the sounds of this we’ve cancelled his contract which is frankly stupid. The club rapidly destroying the unity built by Warnock day by day.

Absolute joke of a decision…
Bunch of clowns the lot of you.

Meanwhile, West Brom fans gave their opinions before Peltier had signed.
