Scottish champions Celtic are on the verge of signing Aston Villa attacker Scott Sinclair, with Sky Sports claiming the versatile forward is set to undergo a medical in Glasgow.
The Parkhead outfit have attracted former Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers north of the border this summer and the Northern Irishman has wasted little time in bolstering his squad.
The new manager knows Sinclair well from their mutual time together at Swansea, with the flying winger playing a crucial role in the Liberty Stadium outfit establishing themselves in the Premier League.
The former Manchester City forward was part of the Villa team that was relegated from the top tier last term, with the 27-year-old scoring twice in 19 starts for the Midlands outfit.
Sinclair is not expected to play a role in Villa’s Championship opener against Sheffield Wednesday today and reportedly will instead seal a deal to reunite with Rodgers at Celtic Park.
