Yesterday's Championship roundup zoned in on Leeds' interest in Josip Vukovic, West Brom's desire to take Matheus Pereira to the Hawthorns and Jamal Lowe's expected move to Wigan. Today's edition features a fee agreed for Bailey Peacock-Farrell, Arsenal's asking price for Krystian Bielik and an update on the future of Andre Green.

Peacock-Farrell fee agreed with Burnley

Report: It is understood that Leeds have agreed a fee with Burnley for the sale of goalkeeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell. The Clarets are believed to be paying £2.5m for the 22-year-old.

Verdict: In December of last year, you would have been forgiven for thinking that Peacock-Farrell was the future of Leeds between the sticks. The Northern Ireland international played in all but one game during the first half of the season and was still number one until the end of January. However, Marcelo Bielsa clearly didn't feel confident enough in the youngster and brought in Kiko Casilla from Real Madrid. From that point on, it was the 32-year-old Spaniard who was El Loco's first choice. Peacock-Farrell has already hinted at a departure this summer, so this is not unexpected. If the Yorkshire outfit aren't careful, they could be goalkeeper-less by the end of the summer – Casilla has also been linked with a move away from Elland Road.

Arsenal want £10m for Bielik

Report: According to Legia.net, Arsenal are looking for £10m for midfielder-cum-centre-back Krystian Bielik this summer. West Brom have previously been linked to the 21-year-old.

Verdict: The Poland U21 international must be well-thought-of at the Emirates Stadium to merit the Gunners slapping such a fee on him this summer, but it is hard to know where that valuation comes from. His has so far made 52 career appearances, of which 34 have come in League One. Granted, those were for Charlton as the Addicks were promoted to the Championship during his time at The Valley, but that is still not enough to warrant what his employers are demanding. West Brom would be best to avoid making a move for him after this latest development. There is better value for money out there, even so close to the transfer window deadline.

Preston in Green talks

Report: As per Football Insider, Preston North End are in advanced talks with Aston Villa's Andre Green as they aim to take him to Deepdale on a season-long loan. A deal could even be imminent, the report adds.

Verdict: Having lost Callum Robinson to newly-promoted Premier League side Sheffield United, Preston need a replacement and Alex Neil clearly sees Green as that man. His career is yet to get going – he has not made more than 18 league appearances for one club in a single season so far. Four goals and one assist for Portsmouth in 12 games on loan at Fratton Park during the second half of the past campaign suggest that there is talent there, though. Villa boss Dean Smith is said to be a fan, but after having made 12 signings so far during this summer transfer window, there is unlikely to be a place for the 21-year-old in his squad. A short-term spell, therefore, is best for all involved.
