Some Charlton fans on Twitter are torn over Josh Cullen’s performance against Swansea on Wednesday night.
The Republic of Ireland international was making his ninth Championship start of the campaign against the Swans, on a night where the Addicks lost 2-1 at The Valley.
Lee Bowyer’s men took an early lead through Jonathan Leko, but were pegged back after goals from Yan Dhanda and Andre Ayew.
Cullen in particular seemed to impress judging by the statistics, making the joint-most amount of key passes out of any player on the field, with three to his name.
The 23-year-old also completed three tackles, drew two fouls and embarked on one dribble – it certainly seems as if the 5 foot 9 midfielder held his own against one of the best sides in the league.
For some reason, however, not every Charlton fan on Twitter thought he played well.
One fan said he was the south Londoners’ best player by a country mile, whereas another thought the on-loan West Ham man wasn’t his usual self.
Let’s take a look at more of the Twitter reaction from some divided Charlton fans…
Cullen yes by a country mile our best player, Gallagher was horrendous tonight though, by far his worst performance for us.

Cullen ran his socks off, could barely kick the ball at the end. He was everywhere.

So many positives from last nights game. Cullen and Gallagher ran the second half. Bonne is improving and runs his legs off. Lockyer has amazing passion and the team didn’t give up. Confident for this season! We’ll lose but it won’t be easy for the other team. #CAFC ?⚪️

Cullen was poor imo tonight. Quality, quality player but looked a little tired from the Leeds game. Thought Gallagher or Lockyesr was our best player.
