Lots of Charlton fans have taken to Twitter to react after the winners of the Championship Manager of the Month and Player of the Month were revealed, with Addicks nominees Lee Bowyer and Lyle Taylor missing out.
The Manager of the Month award went to Swansea boss Steve Cooper, after he guided the Swans to five wins and a draw from their first six Championship games of the campaign.
The Player of the Month award went to Preston’s Daniel Johnson, after the 26-year-old recorded four goals and three assists in just five Championship appearances.
Charlton No.9 Taylor netted five goals and grabbed an assist throughout August, while Bowyer oversaw four wins and two draws in his side’s first six games back in the Championship since winning the League One play-off final – you can definitely argue that they had a case to win their respective awards.
Let’s take a look at how the Addicks supporters on Twitter reacted to the snub…

Well done to the @EFL keep doing what you are doing by ignoring #cafc achievements e.g Bowyer + Taylor. You did that last time and we got promoted remember? Please keep leaving our staff and players out of team of week and POTM awards
regards #cafc fans
