Charlton eased past Gillingham at the weekend with goals from Joe Aribo and Josh Cullen securing another solid three points for the Addicks. The latter’s strike – an assured finish after opposition goalkeeper Tomas Holy presented the ball on a plate – was only his first in Charlton red since signing on loan from West Ham in the summer, although he has contributed heavily elsewhere.
Extremely solid both at the base of midfield or as a No.8, the 23-year-old has won plenty of admirers with his work-rate for The Valley outfit, who would surely love to retain his services beyond the current campaign.
Having played a total of just six minutes for the Hammers in the Premier League, the 5 ft 9 battler has his work cut out if he is to make a career at the London Stadium and may seek pastures new in the summer in search of regular playing time.
Check out what happened when two of Charlton’s best players faced-off in a game of ‘Splat’ in the video below…
As Cullen took to Twitter to express his elation having scored his first goal for Charlton, a number of the SE7 faithful saw an opportunity to plead that he stay…
