Charlton Athletic secured a massive three points against Luton Town on Saturday, coming out as 3-1 winners.
This result means that Lee Bowyer’s side remain five points above the relegation zone despite Wigan Athletic beating Millwall.
The Addicks captain, Jason Pearce, was understandably delighted with the result and dedicated a post to Charlton’s two goalscorers on the day: George Lapslie and Lyle Taylor.
It was the first of those who was given the most attention, having made an impact after replacing Adedeji Oshilaja in the 55th minute, hitting a strike that won a penalty, before adding a goal of his own to make sure the Addicks walked away from the game with all three points.
This comes after a spell of 17 league games in which he didn’t get onto the pitch once – and even in the game before that, he only played six minutes.
There was also reference to the Montserrat international, who notched a very well-taken goal to open the scoring, adding to that from the penalty spot in his typically relaxed style.
