According to a recent Football FanCast poll, a large majority of Charlton fans would support a loan move for Liverpool youngster Adam Lewis in January.
Addicks boss Lee Bowyer recently told the South London Press & Mercury: “It is too soon to say what sort of players we will want to bring in elsewhere but we need to try to get a left-back, 100 per cent.”
The 41-year-old, who only took the job on a permanent basis this summer, also said that Charlton would not look overseas to fill the role, and it would seem that the fans think Lewis could be the perfect option, with 85 per cent backing a move.
The Playmaker FC squad decided to wind-up some unsuspecting Brazil fans at the Emirates on Saturday night. Watch the hilarious results in the video below…
An attacking left-back, Lewis has played 14 games for Liverpool’s U23s so far this season, scoring one goal and providing an impressive five assists. It was also recently reported by Goal that the 19-year-old would become the Merseyside clubs’ backup to Andrew Robertson when Alberto Moreno’s contract expires.
However, although he looks to be a serious talent, Lewis has never experienced first-team football and so a loan to Charlton for half a season would be perfect at this stage in his career. Check out the full results of our poll below.
