Coventry are enjoying life in League One after their promotion last season, sitting as high as 9th as they defeated Fleetwood 2-1 to maintain a chance of finishing in a play-off place on Tuesday.
One of their stand out performers on the night was goalkeeper Lee Burge who was able to put himself firmly back in supporters good books.
The Sky Blues stopper had been criticised after making a poor clearance which led to him conceding against Burton last Friday, but he bounced back with a fine display in front of the posts this week.
It was a showing that earned plaudits from Coventry fans who were eager to give the 26-year-old a confidence boost after he’d taken a huge amount of stick prior to Tuesday’s clash.
Burge made key saves against Fleetwood as he stepped up when it mattered to redeem himself in brilliant fashion.
His display included a stop in injury time as he was able to keep his side in front and send supporters home happy.
Sky Blues fans were delighted to see him back in form and were glad he could silence the many haters after his mistake last week.
The Hereford born player has become a key figure in Mark Robins’ team over the last few seasons and has featured 31 times in the league this term.
Here is the best of the reaction from Coventry supporters on Twitter.
Very good and crucial win last night. Burge and Davies were immense as was Williams in filling in for Willis. Onto to saturday.#PUSB

Just home. Scrappy but a critical win. Two centre backs were excellent – Williams can be v proud of his league debut. Burge made some important saves and I thought Shipley had a solid match. Big game at The Posh on Saturday now! #pusb

What a performance. So many players put everything into that game. Davies a rock at back and Lee Burge with a comeback performance as well gets my man of match. #PUSB @BBCcovsport
