It seems that it’s all going wrong for Derby County these days.
The Rams had just eight points going into this weekend, after Mason Bennett and Tom Lawrence were recently arrested for drink-driving and Richard Keogh picked up a season-ending injury in the same incident.
However, despite all this drama off the pitch, their fortunes on the pitch have seemingly improved.
Derby won only their second league game of the campaign on Saturday, as they beat Birmingham City 3-2 in a dramatic encounter.
Of course, winning in such circumstances meant a lot to their players, and Chris Martin took to Instagram to share his thoughts after the win.
The striker said that it was so much more than just three points on Saturday, and you have to agree with that sentiment.
Derby could have been on the brink of a crisis after last week’s fiasco, but winning their first game after the news broke will not only move the Rams up the table, it will settle the nerves both amongst the squad and the fans.
