After being at the centre of one of the most entertaining but scandalous football news stories of the 2018/2019 campaign, Marcelo Bielsa has been named as the recipient of FIFA’s Fair Play Award.

Of course, this rubbed some people up the wrong way. Not only do Leeds United have a historical reputation of being one of the most ill-disciplined clubs in the country, but the spygate scandal represented poor sportsmanship from the Argentine.

One player who took issue with the Leeds manager winning this award was Mason Bennett, and he took to Twitter to share his feelings.

The Derby striker has been outspoken about spygate in the past, and he’s previously mocked Leeds about the incident after beating them in the playoff semi-finals last term.

Bennett clearly doesn’t feel that Bielsa was worthy of the award this year, and it’s hard to argue with that sentiment, given that the manager admittedly spied on his opposition basically every week.
