Fulham enforcer issues transfer warning

Philippe Senderos (Fulham)Fulham defender Philippe Senderos has told the club that he wants to leave in January if he is not a first-team regular, according to reports from The Sun.

The Swiss international has slipped down the pecking order at Craven Cottage under Martin Jol this season, who has opted against playing him in any of his side’s opening three Premier League games.

The 28-year-old is angered by his omission from the starting XI, and is ready to leave if he cannot dislodge Aaron Hughes or Brede Hangeland for a starting berth.

Senderos is believed to have snubbed a late loan offer from Parma this summer, while there were also rumours that he could be set for a move to QPR.

Instead of leaving he opted to remain in West London to battle for his place in Jol’s plans.

However, if that fight is still an unsuccessful one by January he is ready to leave the capital to get his career back on track.

Senderos joined Fulham in 2010 from Arsenal, and has been a key member of the first-team squad ever since.

Prior to joining the Cottagers, the experienced defender also played for AC Milan and Everton.
